Leprechaun Days!

Yay!
Each year my hometown, Rosemount Minnesota, had a kinda of Summer Fair thing. I always love going because I get to see friends that I haven't seen since school ended in June! Tonight is the Battle of the Bands, and even though I  think all the bands suck... I enjoy going anyway. I wish I hadn't lost my camera  in Washington because it would be nice to take pictures of all my long lost school mates.
And what makes this year's Lep Days so much more important is that it is Rosemount's like bisecuentenial??... It celebrates Rosemount's 150 years in existence! Also, since my class just graduated, this is pretty much the last time we will see each other until next summer (if they decide to come back for the Summer - even though many are actually staying in Rosemount and going to the community college)

I love Lep Days!

Harry Twatter

I have returned for the West coast... and have returned to my obsession with Oblivion.

Guess what! I decided to read the Harry Potter series... starting where I left off in like 5th grade... So I think that would be like, the 3rd book.

My Birthday!

My birthday was on July 17! I am now 18 years old!!

I've been pretty busy lately... I worked all day the 16th, and my birthday was so much fun! Except for the fact that my Dad woke me up at 9am because I hadn't mowed the lawn. I was able to fall back asleep untill about 10, but I was still tired all day... stupid Dad...

I went to the DMV and got my license renewed and went to hang out with my pal Ashley. We decided to do as many things that you can only so when you are 18 or older... all we did was buy cigars. Then we went to the casino with my neighbor Kristine and her friend Jess. I forgot how materialistic they were because all they did was talk about the new Burburrry Jess bought. I wanted to shoot myself in the head. But it was still enjoyable. I lost 20 bucks and Ashley gained 20. That bitch.

After that, we pretty much just chilled. Untill around 10 when I went to hang out with Alex, my boyfriend. We hungout there for a bit then departed for the midnight showing of THE DARK KNIGHT!!! That movie was phanominal!!

Now I am in Battle Ground, Washington for a family reunion with all of my mother's cousins.
The town is tiny, but there are alot of cool relatives that I didn't know I had.
It's dinner time now... hopefully, I'll write later.

Spiders

I took a bath today, and when I got out of the tub, I saw a disgusting bug crawling along the rim of my sink. It was long and brown, with long antenie and a large pincher at the tip of it's abdomen. I immediately caught it in an upside-down glass and suffocated it with cotton balls soaked in nail polish remover.
Then I went to the computer to investigate. I learned the creature was an earwig. They like dark moist places (especially sinks). It grossed me out, and I investigated further to find a repellent in order to prevent the appearance of more. During this, my interest turned towards my mortal enemy, spiders. I looked up repellants, and researched common Minnesota house spiders... this creeped me out even more and made me quite jumpy and apprehensive about cleaning my room, in fear that I might discover a spider haven in a pile of dirty laundry.
And just my luck, as I lifted a pillow off my bed to remove the sheets, a medium black spiders scurried out from under it. Due to my prior jitters from my research, I screamed and ran into the hall. I realized I wouldn't be able to sleep unless I knew that my bed was spider free, so I decided to face my fears and kill that disgusting thing. So, I got the vacuum.
The spider is no more, but I still feel like I have things crawling on me when I'm in my room. I know it's an irrational fear, but it's a phobia non-the-less. So I went to Wallgreens and bought Raid: Home and Garden... it has a spider on the label. Tomorrow, once I clean my room and remove the cat, I will fumigate the shit out my room and leave it to kill the pests while I'm at work. Hopefully tomorrow, I won't be afraid to put on clothes that have been idle in my closet for a few days.
We shall see...

Keller

The Venue

Zionsville

I'm having fun down here in Zionsville Indiana. I'm visiting my friend Jenna who moved away when we were still in middle school. It's amazing how we have been able to stay close and in touch for so long. I flew in yesterday (July 2nd) but it doesnt feel like it.
Jenna is asleep right next to me, and I, of course, havn't managed to get tired enough to sleep. It seems like I've been here for so much longer. Probably because we did so much that first day.

My flight touched down in Indianapolis around 1ish and Jenna was there to greet me at baggage claim. It was a fun experience because we arranged my visit without any help from our parents, so I was able to attempt to find my way through the NorthWest airport. I did fine, of course, and I'm glad my mother didn't insist on accompanying me all the way up to the security check-point.

Next we went to her house in Zionsville Indiana, dropped off my bags and went to get some starbucks. After a refreshing pashion fruit tea thing, we went to hang out with two friends of Jenna's who were babysitting for a wealthy family. The house was really cool, and it was fun to hang out with the girls. I was surprised at how much we all were alike.

After leaving, we went back to Jenna's and got ready for the Keller William's concert, got some subway, then went to Jenna's exs house (he was also coming to the concert, along with many others.)

Finally, we headed off for Indianapolis and met up with the rest of the gang. There was 8 of us all together, I think. The concert was really fun, despite my expectations. However, the opening set was 2 hours long and even half way through it, I was dying of thirst. Once the first set concluded, we went outside to get some air and get some money so we could buy a beverage. Much to our dismay, we were not allowed to leave the venues' front sidewalk, for fear that new comers would try to sneak into the show.

Keller started around 9 and went untill 11 or 12, I don't remember. The music was upbeat and folky, containing mostly stringed instruments, and not drums. I was uncertain if I would be able to get into the mood of the music, but it was simple and we danced the night away.

We ended our night by hanging out at a friend's house and partaking in a night of Dionysian reveling. What great fun!
I can't wait to see everyone else tomorrow!
